Client challenge

Eden Garden Rooms is a premium garden building provider who had built a successful business over ten years but primarily in the Kent region and through organic growth and word of mouth.  When new ownership came in with a bold growth ambition they approached Piper to drive faster sales growth and scale their business beyond the Kent region, targeting a broader customer base across the South of England.

The Challenge

To drive fast sales growth by increasing Eden’s digital presence and conversion rates, achieving a broader geographical reach while maintaining their success in Kent.

The objective was to boost awareness, generate more leads, and improve conversions. Achieving this required a clear marketing strategy with an approach that balanced cash flow with delivering short term but sustainable results.

Actions we undertook

Piper developed a prioritised action plan to deliver more leads, with a strong focus on quality so conversion rates also improved.  Our strategy delivered improvements in awareness, consideration, and conversion. The key actions we implemented included:

1. PPC Strategy and Google Advertising

We brought in PPC specialist to design and implement a consistent, results-driven approach to Google advertising. The strategy included monthly reviews and optimisation actions to continually refine and enhance ad performance.

2. Website Data Capture Enhancements

To maximise lead generation, we made strategic updates to the website’s data capture process, ensuring that when visitors were willing to provide their data for the product brochure, telephone and email follow up was possible.

3. Social Media Management and Advertising

Piper introduced a dedicated social media manager to oversee both organic and paid social advertising efforts, further boosting Eden’s brand presence and lead generation across social platforms.

4. New Website Development

We developed a new Eden website with updated branding, content and navigation. Focusing on search engine optimisation and conversion rate optimisation, ensuring the website was set up for success with maximum visibility and lead capture rates.

5. SEO Improvements

We developed a strategy to improve Eden’s natural search visibility, helping to drive organic traffic to the site and reduce dependency on paid channels over time.

6. Email Nurture Programme

To enhance lead nurturing, we created a prospect email nurture programme that engaged potential customers throughout their decision-making process, helping to move them from consideration to conversion.

7. Live Chat Implementation

We worked with Eden to select a live chat solution for the website, enabling real-time engagement with visitors and improving conversion rates by offering instant support to potential customers.

8. Marketing Measurement and Review Framework

A robust marketing measurement framework was established, and we facilitated monthly review meetings to track performance and adjust strategies as needed to ensure consistent progress towards Eden’s growth goals.

Results

Over a three year period, the changes to marketing activity delivered impressive results. When comparing Q1 2022 to Q1 2025:

  • Website Visits: Increased by 213% from an average of 4,648 to 14,539 per month, significantly expanding their reach and bringing more potential customers to their site.
  • Email Lead Capture: Grew by 294% from 141 to 556 per month, reflecting the success of the website and media enhancements, and what’s more, all new prospects were now in receipt of an automated email prospect nurture programme.
  • Sales appointments: Increased by 81%, demonstrating greater engagement with customers and potential clients.
